The idea behind the ThraSMART project is very simple. As professionals who have been in the constructions business for years, we decided to create a sustainable house that covers all of the requirements of the EU Directive 2009/28/EC and in the same time is smart, convenient, personalized and affordable. Sustainable
We have implemented cutting edge sustainable energy solutions in our house. The house has solar roof tiles which generate solar energy, when applicable it has a small wind generator, the HVAC system is intended to use thermal source of heating and all of the energy collected during the day is collected in a heavy duty battery, to be used during the evening.
Passive
The design of the house complies with all the conditions that need to be available in order the house to be a passive one.
Smart
A Building Management System (BMS) is integrated in each house. The BMS controls all the functions of the house, including HVAC, energy consumption, lights and the use of different appliances. The BMS additionally lowers the energy consumption levels.
Modular
ThraSmart house is designed to be built using modular principles. Modular design allows all buildings to be build fast and at a low cost. We have researched several dry systems of building construction to implement them in our project.
Unique
Although modular, ThraSmart house has high potential for customization, which allows us to build a unique house for every client, according her personal needs and the specific landscape’s conditions.
Affordable
Sticking to all of the principles above makes both the initial costs of construction and the maintenance costs of ThraSmart houses low, which results eventually in low cost of the building, making it affordable for people. That way we create value for people, as well as for the nature.
