We started our project in the end of 2016. So far, we are still in the planning and research phase. We are looking for the best technologies on the field so we can implement them in our house. However, our plans are to build a pilot house where we could experiment what we have designed and choose the best solutions. In the following few lines we are going to share with you what we intend to do further.
Where
We are going to build a pilot house on one of our sites. We are the owners of the terrain. The ThraSmart pilot house is going to be a part of ThraSmart village, which is located in the suburbs of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Plovdiv is the second town of Bulgaria, located in the heart of Thracian valley with a fast-developing industry.
Location
Bellow is the exact location of the plot in the area of Plovdiv.
The location of the construction site is next to the western Western bypass of Plovdiv, just a couple of kilometers away of Trakia motorway and very close to river Maritza. The area is very calm, there are some commercial structures nearby, including a Metro Cash and Cary store, some high schools and one of the University of Plovdiv buildings. The site is only a few minutes of driving away from the downtown of the city and in the same time is surrounded by wild nature.
Moreover, the Thracian valley is one of richest of sunlight geographical locations in Bulgaria which would add to the sustainable energy generation abilities of the house.
The complex
ThraSMART house is planned to be a part of a residential complex with commercial area. Our plans is this complex to become eventually ThraSMART village, a village where all the building are smart and passive.
The plot
Here are some photos from the site as it looked like in the beginning of April 2017.
House design
Finally, there there are part of the design of the pilot house itself.
